Rendang Fried Rice

Ready in 5–10 minutes

A rich, savory fried rice elevated with Chef William Wongso’s signature rendang.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 16 oz steamed rice (Jasmine, brown, purple, etc. — best if chilled overnight)
  • 8 oz Chef William Wongso Rendang, thawed
  • White pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Scallions, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil or olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat
  2. Scramble the eggs and set aside
  3. Add rice and stir-fry until heated through
  4. Add rendang and mix until evenly combined
  5. Return eggs to the pan and season with salt and white pepper
  6. Finish with scallions and serve hot

Rendang Tacos

A bold fusion of rich rendang and fresh toppings.

Ingredients:

  • Tortillas
  • Beef rendang
  • Guacamole
  • Cucumber slices
  • Salsa
  • Shredded cheese
  • Pickled peppers
  • Lime
  • Fresh cilantro
  • BBQ chips (for crunch)

Instructions:

  1. Warm the tortillas
  2. Add a generous portion of heated rendang
  3. Layer with guacamole, cucumber, salsa, and cheese
